SNAPRU

"SnapRu" is an app that extracts text by image recognition from screenshots of apps that cannot select or copy texts.

You will be able to easily copy and paste the information you want to keep as a memo or search for. Such information includes cooking recipes, restaurant names, addresses, Twitter and Instagram IDs, and URLs.

HOW TO USE SNAPRU

Tap the button light upper side and select a photo to recognize text.

After waiting for a while, the text recognition engine extracts texts from the photo. You can now copy the text.

If the photo contains URLs, you can click the link and jump to the URL.

You can also select a photo from the Photo app and extract texts.

You can also extract texts from a screenshot being taken by your iPhone.

NOTES

Since it uses an image recognition engine, it may not able to extract texts correctly. Especially URLs tend to be recognized inaccurately. You should correct the texts after copy and paste.

If a photo size is large or a photo contains things other than texts, it takes longer time to complete a text recognition processing. Tips is to use a photo containing only texts by cropping unnecessary part from the photo.
